California Israel Technology Collaborative Home Page

* CALiTC has started one of the first online resources that will provide in depth information to Israeli Startup companies on understanding the process of setting up business in the fields of Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Nanotechnology, Homeland Security, Green Energy, etc. Our reference material will include such topics as: creating a first class business plan; understanding the variety of funding alternatives for early startups; applying for intellectual property in the US and World markets; planning exit strategies, and many additional topics. You can preview some of our WIKI documents at http://calitc.pbwiki.com/, while the site is under development.

* CALiTC has begun recruitment for a unique volunteer physician resource pool to assist Israeli start up Life Science and Medical firms with understanding and overcoming US hurdles concerning medical related issues inherent in bringing new technology to the US market. Our physician pool will provide free mentoring for selected Israeli startup companies on: the FDA approvals process; the setting up and management of Clinical Trials; US Intellectual Property filings; and understanding how to access Venture Capital and Angel funding.

* CALiTC will be looking for opportunities to expand the Israeli impact on research in Stem Cells through conferences, one-on-one meetings and introductions to the California investment and research communities. This will include a continuation of our efforts in acquainting the medical community at Cedars-Sinai Hospital and other major medical facilities in Southern California with Israeli research as a follow-up to the successful Stem Cell conference our members helped to host at Cedars in 2005.

* CALiTC has begun a collaboration to provide guest lecturers to the Merage Foundation for US-Israel Trade programs in the US and in Israel. This renowned Foundation runs an extensive series of specialized Leadership Programs designed to teach US Marketing Strategies to Israeli executives selling into the Life Science, Security and IT markets. CALiTC members provide lecture materials and expertise through seminars at the Merage Foundation Life Science entrepreneur program.

* CALiTC has plans to establish an extensive online Calendar detailing a variety of activities happening in Southern California that would be of interest to the Investment Community looking for Israeli opportunities.
